I'm your rural arts hype-girl.
I help rural arts nonprofits become great ready, build sustainable funding systems, and secure funding for long-term impact. After an 8-year career as a music teacher in rural and Title I schools in Utah and Colorado, I am all too familiar with the challenges facing arts organizations in rural communities. While I earned my Master’s degree in Music Education at Colorado State University, I published original research on rural music education and became a voice for equity in access to music education for rural students. Since relocating to Durango in 2023, I've built on this advocacy work as a development professional, fundraising for rural nonprofits with arts-focused missions.
